Our client URGENTLY requires the services of an IS Data Analyst to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on the electronic documents management system and automated workflows.

  • Analyse business use of documents to better integrate document storage and retrieval with business processes.

  • Engage with business solutions analyst, and other key stakeholders to provide guidelines and integration details for new dashboard and workflow automation requirements.

  • Work with Solutions Analysts and Business to automate manual business processes.

  • Propose and develop new workflow/processes, participate in testing and realization.

  • Apply best practice, business rules and also ensure compliance to TSA policies (security, document retention, etc.).

  • Perform maintenance changes to existing DMS, and workflows/processes as required.

  • Constant evaluation of current workflow automation to ascertain possible changes for greater flexibility, and more efficient results.

  • Provide functional support and advice related to the document management system.

  • Analyse business use of documents to better integrate document storage and retrieval with business processes and identify potential workflow needs.

  • Assist with development and deployment of training related to DMS and automated workflows.

  • Perform daily maintenance of the DMS and automated workflows (File cabinets, document trays, user/role/member administration and automated workflow operations).

  • Ensure understanding of the subject matter through relevant liaison with business solutions analyst and other key stakeholders.

  • Facilitate the prioritization of BI projects, together with business solutions analysts and management, in consideration of competing business interests.

  • Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.

  • Build and provision the relevant dashboards and workbooks as per business requirements.

  • Obtain formal sign-off and ensure proper and full handover of built dashboards to business owners and encourage take-up and usage of the dashboards.

  • Identify business opportunities for information usage through the initial interactions/development of dashboards.

  • Articulate the business value of information usage.

  • Improve on and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy and value.

  • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for business users.

  • Advise and evaluate feasibility of implementation based on the requirements submitted.

  • Continuously develop/enhance existing BI solution.

  • Market the successes and use cases/possibilities of the BI tool to the entire organization through daily interactions.

  • Establish and enforce technical standards for deliverables of BI projects.

  • Manage current and future needs in data design and content.

  • Interface with information systems teams and business stakeholders.

  • Continue to investigate and evaluate emerging BI technologies.

  • Periodically review all data content in the BI environment to identify opportunities for improvement of problem avoidance.

  • Manage requests for changes and prioritize work based on business needs and available resources.

  • Provide or facilitate training and assistance to users for generation of ad-hoc report.

  • Ensure strong relationships and understanding of requirements, with business and information systems stakeholders.

  • Work with group contacts and counterparts well, ensuring good relationships are maintained and that local and group environment and context is understood.

  • Work well with suppliers to ensure good understanding and support of the environment, as required.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the client s employees and management (Group and local), suppliers and other key stakeholders as applicable, and ensures that good communication lines are open.

  • Ensure that risk management elements and identification of business-critical services/applications are incorporated into each responsibility, as applicable.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all relevant rules, standards and policies and actively seeks to know them and understand them.

  • Develop policies, procedures, works instructions as applicable to the key job functions.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • IS diploma or degree an advantage.

  • Business Analyst qualification.

  • Solid all round understanding of IS environment.

  • 5-7 years experience working in an Information Systems environment.

  • Good competency with MS Office suite of applications.

  • Excellent competency (advanced) in Excel functions.

  • Knowledge of coding an advantage.

  • Previous experience with Document management systems, automation or business intelligence tools.

  • Key competencies include excellent analytical ability, excellent reporting skills, highly structured and self-motivated individual, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to plan and organise time, self and work in order to achieve objectives and targets, ability to work under pressure.

POSITION: Permanent or 6 months contract.

    COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible.
