Our client requires a SAP Business Development Manager in a permanent capacity.
The ideal candidate will be a sales professional to be based in Pretoria, South Africa who has had previous experience of selling SAP Solutions and Licence deals.
This position requires both strategic and detailed thinking and strong initiative.
This is a small sales team and the ideas and projects will constitute a big part of the success of this position.
The role also requires end to end sales ownership and customer visits on occasion.
Work with senior management and Marketing to develop and refine the Go-To Market offerings and build campaigns around these offerings.
Work alongside the business development managers to ensure that territory is agreed and equally allocated, providing support to the other where appropriate.
Build own pipeline and nurture this in conjunction with sales support and other consultants.
Detailed understanding of the components that are part of a support deal and the understanding of how to present the value proposition to the customer in such a way to maximise both deal size and length of contract, and deliver outstanding value to the customer.
Able to operate at high level and build relationships of trust with decision makers.
Manage own pipeline and ensure this is logged and kept up to date.
Report on progress to Regional Director on a regular basis.
Good to have established networks and relationships within SAP.
Construct the commercial model for the deal.
Obtaining all necessary sign-offs.
Working closely with Account Management teams to ensure a smooth and effective commercial handover.
Minimum of 6 years experience in SAP Sales, with a focus on SAP products.
Must have experience of selling SAP platforms and managed services contracts.
Must have experience of working with traditional hosting partners to develop hosted support offerings and be able to articulate the value proposition.
Client focused approach to work, with a consultative focus. An ability to gain trust with the client by offering best advice and guidance.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written English and Afrikaans.
Understand ITIL concepts and terminology.
Able to present the overall SAP High-level offerings without pre-sales support if required.
Ability to build relationships with key client contacts and internal teams customers.
Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients.
Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with business problems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities.
